What our customers say
Truly a great book, though and I hope you make it available to children in the US very soon. The three children (15, 13 and 11) were very engaged by your work and most of the rest of our group was also learning lots of things as they worked through the book. Lovely work.
K. Conners
I’ve been really impressed by the children’s book, having recently seen it at El Karama and will be ordering more copies for my upcoming season.

Our Partners
At Zizibow, we believe in the power of community and collaboration to create meaningful products that celebrate Kenyan culture and craftsmanship. We work closely with local artisan groups who share our commitment to quality, tradition, and economic empowerment.
Our partnerships with organizations like Ushindi Women’s Group and Kenana Knitters enable us to bring authentic, handcrafted items to families on safari — supporting women artisans and preserving valuable skills while delivering products filled with story and soul.
Ushindi Gilgil Women’s Group
Founded in 2009, Ushindi Women’s Group began as a small collective of women seeking stability after the post-election violence. Today, it has grown into a thriving community of skilled artisans who create high-quality handcrafted beads, bags, jewelry, and accessories.
Ushindi combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, empowering women with economic independence and fair market access. The name “Ushindi,” meaning “victory” in Swahili, reflects their inspiring journey from resilience to entrepreneurship.
We’re honored to partner with Ushindi to support their mission and bring authentic Kenyan artistry to families exploring the wild.
Kenana Knitters
Founded in 1998, Kenana Knitters empowers rural women by providing sustainable, flexible employment through hand-knitting and spinning. Based in Njoro, the initiative supports hundreds of women who create handcrafted toys and accessories using locally sourced, organic wool and cotton.
Beyond economic opportunity, Kenana Knitters offers adult literacy programs, health clinics, and social support—making a lasting impact in the community. Each item is signed by its maker, creating a personal connection between artisan and customer.
We’re proud to work with Kenana Knitters to bring their beautiful, ethically made products to families who value craftsmanship and care.
Choose Zizibow
